LIST Raising Money for a Great Cause

Herndon, VA – List Innovative Solutions, Inc. (LIST) is continuing its support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s efforts to cure blood cancers, by putting together a team to participate in the Light the Night Walk on October 17th, 2009 in Washington, DC. Light The Night Walk is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Walks take place in communities throughout the United States and Canada where thousands of participants carry illuminated balloons and raise funds for vital, lifesaving research and patient services.

LIST has participated in the Light the Night Walk the past two years and has assembled teams to participate in other events in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This past June LIST sent 7 riders to Lake Tahoe, NV to participate in the America’s Most Beautiful Ride (AMBR). The team completed the AMBR, a 100 mile bike ride around Lake Tahoe, as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s Team-in-Training (TNT) program and raised over $35,000 (LIST alone) for blood cancer research.

LIST has raised over $200,000 dollars as a national sponsor of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. “As a small business owner, I decided to focus my corporate support to one major organization (allowing for a greater impact for a cause that is very near to my heart. The most rewarding aspect of my support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Team in Training program is that there are real results coming directly from the dollars we donate for research. For example, with just the money from the Team in Training program alone a drug by the name of Gleevec has been developed that is used to treat a type of blood cancer called chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), “said Katie Sleep, CEO LIST.
