List Celebrates 11 Years with Winter Gala Event

Thursday January 25th, 2007
Herndon, VAList Innovative Solutions celebrated 11 years with its annual winter celebration on January 20th at the Marriot in Tyson’s Corner. Over 130 guests enjoyed an evening with friends, families, food, dancing and fun.

The evening had a Black and White Winter theme and guests were invited to dress in black and white attire. The idea was that everyone could dress as casual or formal as they like, just as long as they wore black and white. Creativity was encouraged as cash prizes were awarded in the following categories: Most Elegant Couple, Most Creative (couple or family), and Most Casual (individual), there was even an impromptu award given for the one who spent the most time on the dance floor.

The festivities began with a cocktail hour where guests took the opportunity to have their portrait taken and were given a lovely 5”x7” print in folder as a party keepsake. When the doors to the Grand Ballroom opened at 7, dinner began with several buffet stations featuring top round beef, Maryland crab cakes, quesadillas, pasta, and vegetable strudel. Dessert consisted of a soft-serve ice cream bar with every topping imaginable and seemed to be hit with children and adults alike.

As the night wound down, many guests took advantage of the events location and stayed the night in the Marriot’s recently renovated rooms.

“It was a wonderful evening” said Katie Sleep. “We are already looking forward to next year’s event!”
